Summary:

An exciting, rapidly growing company at the intersection of technology, digital media, and data is seeking a Senior Business Development Director. They are an audience intelligence platform that provides brands with actionable data, analytics, and insights that optimize the targeting, engagement, and ROI of online, mobile, and social video ads, while opening new revenue streams for artists and other social influencers. The company’s platform allows brands to discover, monitor, and target audiences that drive media performance. The platform empowers artists and influencers to tap into the tools and technology needed to monetize their social influence and fan engagement. They help Publishers build tools to monetize their data.

Responsibilities:

Their publishers and tech partners are the life-blood of the company. The Senior Business Development Manager will work closely with the executive BD team to secure premium digital publisher clients and key technology partnerships with strategic industry counterparts. From brainstorming new partner opportunities to maintaining a robust pipeline of new opportunities, this person will responsible for generating their own book of business. This is a huge opportunity to push the adoption of premium publisher products at a time of growing demand.

  • Research, identify, and manage business development pipeline from outreach to close
  • Research competitors and competitive products
  • Understand all products inside and out
  • Identifying business strengths and customer needs
  • Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events
  • Developing collateral materials for prospective clients
  • Writing business proposals
  • Work with managers to set, manage and achieve BD goals
  • Be a field advocate and communicate / advocate BD needs to the Product Management team
  • Support Exec BD needs
  • Ensure case studies are up-to-date and keep pitch decks organized

Qualifications:

  • Commensurate years of experience in sales/business development within the digital publishing/ad technology sector Understanding the ad tech ecosystem is critically important
  • Understanding industry changes and publisher pain points will be key to success
  • Knowledge of the sales cycle for SaaS products
  • Extraordinary pitching capabilities. Must know how to summarize and encapsulate complex processes and technologies into easily digestible terms for potential clients
  • Know how to embody the energy and excitement that the team brings to every interaction
  • An entrepreneurial approach to business
  • Diligent work ethic, dependable, and ethical
  • A self-starter, aggressive, able to work independently but cooperatively and enthusiastically to build a new business
